How to play Bob Dylan songs

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Since I was a child I was strucked by Bob Dylan’s songs.
I remember the first song I heard from Bob Dylan’s hand, it was: “Blowing in the wind.” 
I didn’t understand the words,- but it must have been Bob Dylan’s voice which gave me this connection to him. – You can’t say his voice was pretty,- but it contained a lot of feelings, which even a child could feel.

Later in 1968 I saw a movie about Bob Dylans England tour in 1966,- “Don’t look back”
I had to see it twice. – I was compleetly lost.
I felt for a pilgrimtravel to one of his concerts, anywhere in the world,- later in my life.
– But as the years did pass, and I grew older, it became a little difficult to overview the the decision I did make in my younger years.
– But suddenly the possibility arose – and I decided to go for it.

2005 Bob Dylan did a concert in Aalborg, Denmark “Gigantium Hall”. I did live 2 km from that – and now it was affordable for me.

16 years old – I did reherse constantly to try to learn most of Bob Dylan’s songs,
and searching every where for bricks in the puzzle: “How to play Bob Dylan songs”

My concert-lecture

He has inspired me later in my own songwriting, and 4 years ago I began a Bob Dylan concert-lecture tour in several danish churces around in my country.

I am telling about Bob Dylan’s life, – showing a PowerPoint story – and playing 8 songs which I find related to the telling:

I have visited about 60 churces all around the most of Denmark 
to play Bob Dylan songs, and talk about this fantastic songwriter, – Bob Dylan.

My concert lecture will last for an hour and a half. I will tell the story behind Bob Dylan and show a PowerPoint session and make a mix with the 8 songs in between.
